Designing for champions

For many sports fans, these past several weeks have been exciting as the NBA and NHL championship games took place. With the 7th game of the Stanley Cup Finals last night, the Florida Panthers are the 2024 champions. A week ago, the Boston Celtics secured their championship by winning the NBA Finals. We can’t help but take pride in something these 2 teams have in common: ROSSETTI. Our core focus is Designing Experiences and Generating Value, and this is evident in the work that we have completed for both teams.

For the Boston Celtics, we reimagined their home arena, TD Garden, to celebrate the city of Boston. Our work highlights both the Celtics and the Bruins through strategic design choices and integration of technology. Working with Delaware North, the owner of TD Garden and a global hospitality company, the purpose of the renovation was the fans: upgraded concourses, concessions and social spaces. The investment into the guest experience not only resulted in a positive financial return for TD Garden, but also increased the value for the fans, driving them to come to games and cheer on their Boston team to victory.

Most recently, ROSSETTI completed the new training facility for the Florida Panthers. Located in Fort Lauderdale, the facility is integrated into the renovation of the historic War Memorial Auditorium, creating a home for the team, the fans and the community. Not only were the Panthers investing in a new facility for enhancing player performance, but the commitment to providing a new destination experience for the region is exceptional. The result is a multi-use facility that invites people in for entertainment, recreation, and of course, to support the local hockey team.

The experiences we design and the value we generate are for the team, the players, the fans and the community. Whether it be a venue for games or a facility for performance, we design environments that heighten senses and create memories. The value is not just about financial return, but about the team and community being proud and accomplishing the ultimate goal: victory.
