Formula One, the premier international form of auto racing, is expanding its Grand Prix races in the United States. As part of this effort, the Miami Dolphins welcomed Formula One to the Hard Rock Stadium campus. This aligns with the goal of transforming the campus into not only a home for NFL, but to become a global entertainment location with a diverse range of events throughout the year. Building on an already successful partnership, the Miami Dolphins worked with ROSSETTI to further advance concepts outlined in Formula One’s event activation master plan.
Understanding that most motorsports events are not solely about the race, the design team built off the existing master plan to establish concepts that create a unique Miami racing experience. The team’s insight and use of innovative tools, such as precedent imagery, renderings and animations built a new brand and generated excitement for the event. The result is a true spectacle of Miami culture that challenges the status quo of Formula One races.
Additionally, ROSSETTI provided architectural services for the Paddock Club, which was a temporary structure during the 2022 inaugural race. In 2023, the three-story permanent structure was built over the garages with a prominent main entry featuring a stunning four-story decorative feature element and a grand staircase. The building is designed with bridges at each level to provide efficient use of the stadium’s kitchen and support spaces. This allows for optimal use of each floor of the Paddock Club, which contains private suites, lounges and a roof top club. The Paddock Club exudes the glamour and energy of Formula One to immerse fans in the exciting international motorsports event.
