A new plan for the Ferry Park Avenue corridor enhances the lives of residents by implementing strategies for walkability, neighborhood amenities, physical form and design, and a strong identity. The concept spurs economic activity—like new businesses and housing—along the corridor that fits the character of the Northwest Goldberg community. The process preserved existing assets and identified opportunities for rehab, renovation, and adaptive re-use. Through this, the design envisions new public spaces and improvements to existing streets, sidewalks, and bus stops. With a focus on the current residents, the plan provides neighborhood amenities, entrepreneurial opportunities, and cultural attractions.
